OUR STRUCTURAL STEEL SOLUTIONS

CE Marked Quality

Our Structural Engineers, Draughting Technicians and Design team produce CE marked structured steel for all building applications. We are equipped to meet all specifications which we then implement and erect on site.

We provide CE marked fabricated structural steel for:

  • Corner Windows
  • Sliding Gates
  • Lintels
  • Staircases
  • Beams
  • Railings
  • Structural Balconies
  • Fire Escapes
  • Storage and Shelters
  • Door Openings
  • Outdoor Steel Signage
  • Air to Water Systems Cages
  • Palette Safety Gates
  • Bin Stores
  • Emergency Push-Pad Doors

We work closely with your design team and use 3D software packages to deliver the best practice engineering solution to your specific project needs. Where appropriate, we will also proactively recommend alternative structural steel solutions to clients.

OUR CE CERTIFICATION

On 1 July it became a legal requirement that all fabricated steelwork delivered to site must be CE Marked. Any company using structural steel that is not CE Marked is liable for fines of up to 500 000 and/or imprisonment.

All Ennis Iron Works Ltd.’s fabricated structural steelwork is CE certified – as per the legal requirement, and testament to our commitment to quality. All our work carries the EXC 2 class standard EN1090 with a Declaration of Performance provided to our clients. This means our steel can be traced back to the steel mill factories. The mark also confirms that we operate a Factory Production Control system, all our structural steel welders are fully certified, we have an on-site Responsible Welding Coordinator permanently on site and we are audited annually by a notified body.

Offering All the Benefits of Steel

Structural steel metal fabrication is a crucial part of the industrial landscape, with mechanical properties that make it the preferred choice for structural fabrication projects. It offers key advantages to every building project:

Durability
Structural steel delivers minimal maintenance, sustainability and resistance to corrosion.

Cost-Effective
Steel is lighter and more durable than other building materials, so less steel is required per project. Prices are usually stable and are set at a specific level for manufacturers and consumers.

Economically and Environmentally Sustainable
Structural steel is highly adaptable and recyclable.

Safe
As well providing unmatched stability, steel has non-reactive properties, with limited health and safety concerns while it also offers protection from fire.

PROJECT SHOWCASE

  • Cork Prison

We were pleased to support our Main Contractor on a specialised project at Cork Prison, delivering a new structural steel shelter for maintenance equipment.

  • Deerpark Restoration

We worked with a regular contractor on a substantial extension project for a private client, centred around the restoration and refurbishment of an existing 18th-century two-storey residence.
